Acropolis of Lindos

Above the modern town rises the acropolis of Lindos, a natural citadel which was fortified successively by the Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Knights of St John and the Ottomans. This makes the site difficult to excavate and interpret archaeologically. The acropolis has views of the surrounding harbours and coastline.

Lindos is perhaps one of the most ancient castles in the world and one of the important archaeological sites of Greece.

St. Pauls Bay Lindos

If you have been to Lindos Acropolis you will have seen the incredible beach from above. In order to reach St Paul’s Bay you have to walk through the village.
St Pauls Bay is a picturesque bay just south of Lindos on the southeast coast of Rhodes.
A small port with crystal clear turquoise and green waters that seems like an oasis from the distance of 116 m. between the castle and the sea.
It is claimed that St Paul landed here in the year 51 AD to preach Christianity to the Rhodians.
The small church built on the hillside is a very popular wedding location, most likely because of the beautiful views of the bay and Lindos Acropolis.

Lindos Beach

The Lindos Beach is a real dream beach with soft, beige sand and turquoise blue water, a beautiful, sandy beach at the foot of the picturesque village of Lindos – a unique setting for a unique holiday.

Vlycha Beach

Vlycha (Vlicha) is a pleasant little beach just before Lindos that has a sun bed for everyone, while the sea here deepens smoothly and gradually. It’s big enough not to become crowded, but not too immense and appeals particularly to people staying in Lindos who want to escape from the crowded central beach. On the slopes around, and at the centre of the seafront, stand the largest hotels in the area. The quietest part of the beach is at the right-hand end. There are two small eating places serving sandwiches, pancakes and espressos, as well as toilets and card-operated telephones.

Navarone Bay

Feel like a filmstar as you relax on Navarone beach. Just south of Lindos, this sandy stretch was used as the setting for the 1961 film The Guns of Navarone, which gave it its name.The beach is idyllic and less commercial than those in the village.
